Thomas Milton Woodward

Jan. 9, 1939 – Jan. 19, 2019

Thomas “Ziggie” Milton Woodward passed away on Jan. 19, 2019, in St. George, Utah, at the age of 80 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born on Jan. 9, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Milton and Thelma Woodward.

He is survived by his sweetheart Joy of 60 years and sealed to her in the LDS Temple; his son Kevin (Suzie) Woodward, daughter Torie (Tracy) Weeks; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He worked for Associated Food Stores for 42 years. He had such a strong passion for snow skiing that he also made a lifelong career as a ski patrolman and instructor. He retired in Hurricane and continued skiing up until his last days.

Funeral services

  • A viewing will be held in Hurricane, Utah, on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 10-11 a.m. at the Hurricane 22nd Ward LDS Chapel, 642 N. 2850 West.
  • Funeral services will be held in the Salt Lake area on Friday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary 1950 E. Dimple Dell (10600 South), Sandy, Utah.
  • The viewing will be held prior to the services from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow.
