SALT LAKE CITY — Utah’s alcohol control authority has broken another sales record.

The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control recorded $3.8 million in sales at state-run liquor stores on Dec. 22 alone. That breaks the previous record which was set the day before Thanksgiving at $3.6 million, according to a report by Fox13Now.com.

“The demand is higher than ever. It amazes even us,” said Terry Wood, a spokesman for the DABC.

State liquor stores closed at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

With an increasingly diversifying and growing population, Utah continues to break sales records for alcohol.

Money from liquor sales goes to school lunches for needy children, public safety and the state’s general fund.

Fantastic! Now let’s allow non-state run stores sell fully-leaded beer so we don’t have to make Mesquite runs for beer.

What would really blow their mind…. is how much booze is bought out of State and not in their legalized theft stores.

Don’t buy alcohol in Utah. Don’t fund the Mormon ran DABC.

Record liquor sales, porn addiction, and prescription drug abuse crisis? Maybe Utah isn’t as conservative with family values as we thought. It seems we have LDS , FLDS, and “Jack Mormon” branch of the church and Jack is winning.

The Utah politicians and legislators want to have it both ways: they will take the money, but pose as virtuous Mormon warriors highly regulating alcohol sales. Now they want to do the same with marijuana with state dispensaries.

Donate every penny made from state liquor stores to alcohol prevention and recovery programs then Mighty Mormons. Put your money where your big judgmental mouths are.

And the LORD sayeth to his holy prophet, thou shall craft a magical water beer so it shall pleaseth the LORD. And the LORD spoketh his holy word unto the prophet who cometh upon the holyland. And THE LORD commanded that the magical water beer will contain exactly 3.2%. THE LORD saw that it was good and he was pleased. AMEN.

Hey! Here is an idea! When Medical Marijuana is voted for in Utah, we will just have the legislature mandate they get a Dr’s note first!
And WE KNOW no Utah Doctor will write one! We win! We win!
