ST. GEORGE — For women, if shopping is a must, it should be some serious fun. And when it comes to the “Best Expo Ever!” – running Oct. 26-27 at the Dixie Center St. George – expo director Shelley Smith says the vendors will “bring us everything we never knew we couldn’t live without.”
Now in its third year, the Best Expo Ever! will feature both familiar and new vendors to fulfill almost anyone’s wish and gift lists, including jewelry, décor, kitchen, pampering, clothing, accessories and more.
“After directing ten expos, I’ve seen what shoppers like,” Smith said in a press release for the event. “It’s not just the shopping, it’s the swag – big prizes, the excitement of hourly drawings and befriending vendors.”
This year Smith said she is bringing even more fun surprises.
Besides the vendors, St. George Massage owner Michael Forrest will be giving free on-the-spot massages, Stephen Wade Nissan sales associate Cyrus Winget will be there – along with a fleet of Nissan vehicles – to hand out raffle tickets and prizes, Dixie State University athletics will be on hand to pep up the crowd and attendees will get their first demo of ATVs from Moto Zoo.
The grand prize raffle giveaway, courtesy of The Travel Connection, will be two lucky winners who will join 99.9 KONY Country DJs Marty and Amy on a luxurious seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruise. Every shopper gets a chance to win.
Besides treating yourself, Smith said she believed an expo must also bring the community together for a good cause. With this in mind, the 2018 Best Expo Ever! will feature a pet Halloween-costume contest, sponsored by SwitchPoint Community Resource Center’s pet shelter, Bed-n-Biscuits. Enter your pet and vote at the expo. If you want to stack the deck a little in your favor, you can also donate to SwitchPoint to vote more times.
In addition, anyone who brings a can of food will receive a $1 discount on admission.
“This really helps,” said SwitchPoint’s Brenley Salmon. “Our last expo food drive was much needed and appreciated.”
