FEATURE — Hash House a Go Go, specializing in “Twisted Farm Food,” is known for its generous portions of breakfast food, including its signature chicken and waffles.
The chain, which started in San Diego, now has 11 locations in six states, the newest one being the recently opened St. George location at Red Cliffs Mall.

General manager Tyler Hunsaker says he recently moved back to St. George from Henderson, Nevada, where he’d managed the Hash House there.
“When this opportunity came, we decided to take this opportunity and move to St. George and run the Hash House a Go Go, where we would be a part of the community,” he says. “I love it!”
Hunsaker says he enjoys many items on Hash House’s menu, along with the fact that they are served in generous portions, with food often piled several inches above the plate.
“I love the food, from the banana brown sugar pancakes all the way to the cowboy steak that we serve,” he says.
Executive chef Spencer Harries says the popular chicken and waffles dish consists of vanilla waffles with four slices of bacon baked into them, two sage-fried chicken breasts topped with fried leeks, tomatoes and a pepper scallion garnish. Capping it all off are a knife plunged into the stack along with a huge rosemary sprig.
The sage fried chicken is so popular it is also used in various other menu items, including salads, sandwiches and egg platters. The chicken Benedict breakfast, for example, features mashed potatoes topped with sage fried chicken, eggs and special sauce.
Hash House’s menu has a whole bunch of other hefty, hearty options, including burgers, meatloaf and baby back ribs. The restaurant’s Tractor Bar features a refreshing assortment of beverages, including unique cocktails such as the BLT Mary.

gross. This article is so terrible. <3 I'm done with STGnews. Goodbye cruel people
Crazy food…. drove by an hour ago and the line was way out into the parking lot!
We drove by there and there was a line outside and it wasn’t a short line
Thanks for the head’s up on another “chain” restaurant to avoid!
I predict this one will last a couple of years and *poof* gone.
well I’m sure they’ll do just fine and be around for quite sometime and hope they stay….if you don’t want to eat there by all means feel free to go someplace else
Gee, Hunsaker (the general manager) says he enjoys many items on Hash House’s menu! Ah, o.k. good to know. We must have lucked out, we ate breakfast there a week ago and we got right in. Large portions but was just “o.k.”
Let’s see, huge portions catering to obese patrons, should compete well with Chuck-a-Rama. Another example of fine dining St George style.
