HURRICANE This Friday night,  Sand Hollow Resort would like you to grab the lawn chairs and watch the sunset at a free concert for the soft opening of its beautiful, new outdoor venue, Red Rock Bowl. The evening will showcase the acoustic musical stylings of Josh Larsen, joined by percussionist Ryan Singleton.

“We are all over the place,” Larsen said of the music he will choose for the show. His performance could include songs from Johnny Cash, Metallica and even the hypnotic rhythms of Bob Marley.

With the ability to hold up to 2,000 people, Red Rock Bowl is set to become the premier destination venue in Southern Utah for live music and special events.

Larsen said he loves playing at the resort and the people that work there. “It’s the most beautiful of all spots in Southern Utah to play, inside and out,”

Krista Weikamp, Sand Hollow Resort marketing manager said the new location will provide the same type of experience as the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles or the Red Rock Amphitheater in Colorado, but in an intimate location. Red Rock Bowl is set against the pageantry of Hurricane’s red rocks, painted desert sands and lush green grass and offers a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience.

Although the stage is not yet complete, Larsen’s show will serve as a great preview for the uniquely personal Kenny Loggins performance on Oct. 6 at 7 p.m as part of the “Professor of Rock Live,” concert series. The resort encourages you to purchase tickets early as seating is expected to be limited for the fantastic event.
