ST. GEORGE — The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has located one of the two parties involved in a domestic disturbance that evolved into a fire in Mohave County, Arizona Monday night, but said the search to locate the second individual continues.
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies have made contact with Sarah Crites, the woman who reported the fire. Crites told police she is “safe and unharmed,” according to the agency’s spokesperson, Anita Mortensen, in a statement released late Thursday.
Authorities have yet to make contact with the other individual involved, Scott Farnsworth, 40, of Hurricane.
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Farnsworth to confirm his safety, the statement said.
The request stems from an incident Monday where Crites called 911 to report a fire on the Arizona Strip that reportedly may have been started by Farnsworth, the woman’s boyfriend.

Emergency personnel responded to find two trailers and a pickup truck fully engulfed in flames, but were unable to locate the 911 caller or anyone else, until Crites was located by police days later.
The search for Farnsworth continues.
Anyone with information on Farnsworth’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at 928-753-0753, or toll free at 800-522-4312.
This report is based on statements from police or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
