Ruby’s Inn ‘Cowboy Christmas’ concert features Mary Kaye and the Kaye Sisters

ST. GEORGE – Historic Bryce Canyon Ruby’s Inn at the mouth of Bryce Canyon National Park invites you to celebrate the Christmas season Monday in the splendor of color country as it presents a “Cowboy Christmas” concert featuring country western entertainment artists Mary Kaye and the Kaye Sisters. The concert will take place at 7 p.m. in Ebenezer’s Barn and Grill located at 110 Center St. in Bryce Canyon City.

Ruby’s Inn, known for its western hospitality, is coming to the end of a year-long celebration as part of not only the National Park Service centennial but also the 100th year of the inn being in operation. However, even though 2016 is coming to a close, Ruby’s Inn is finishing its 100th year with a bang.

In order to honor the inn’s founders, Ruby and Minnie Syrett, Kaye wrote and recorded a song and YouTube video entitled “Some Beauty Never Ends.” The video was premiered at the official centennial celebration, said Lance Syrett, resort level hotel general manager of Ruby’s Inn.

Kaye was unable to attend the premier of the video, Syrett said, so to make up for her absence at the centennial celebration, she will be the featured performer at Monday’s Christmas concert.

“The concert is a perfect family-friendly event to get into the holiday spirit,” Syrett said.

Tickets to “Mary Kaye’s Cowboy Christmas with the Kaye Sisters” are priced between $5-$20 a person and can be purchased online.

Winter is a magical time to visit Bryce Canyon, and Ruby’s Inn not only offers the closest lodging to the park but also a plethora of fun winter activities. The inn’s famous outdoor ice skating rink will be open just in time to enjoy an extended December weekend in Bryce Canyon and to enjoy the Cowboy Christmas concert, Syrett said.

Skating is $3 for adults and $2 for children 11 and under. Patrons may bring their own skates or rent them on site.

Other winter activities, such as cross-country skiing, are contingent upon the weather.

Room packages, including buy one night, stay the second night for half off, are available for guests wishing to enjoy an extended weekend vacation. For room availability and rates call 1-866-866-6616 or visit Ruby’s Inn online.
