MESQUITE, Nev. — Two people accused of stealing from a Mesquite department store on two occasions in the springtime have been identified as suspects after being caught six months later allegedly stealing from Mesquite businesses again.

In April and May, two women and a man entered a department store in Mesquite and stole over $1,000 worth of alcohol, Mesquite Police Department said in a news release Friday,

Then on Oct. 31, a woman and a man stole several items and damaged property at unidentified Mesquite businesses. Two suspects in the Oct. 31 incidents were apprehended and charged, namely Rouyona Maxey, 23, and Ondre Glover, 29, both of Las Vegas.

A detective working the April and May unsolved cases recognized Maxey and Glover as two of the suspects in those burglaries, the news release states. Mesquite Police proceeded to issue an affidavit to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, seeking four felony charges against each of them, two for burglary and two for grand larceny in connection with the April and May incidents.

“The Mesquite Police Department is actively seeking the two suspects from the April and May thefts as,” the news release states, “they have shown a pattern of repeatedly traveling to Mesquite to commit crimes.”

Police are asking anyone with any information about Glover, Maxey or these incidents to contact the Mesquite Police Department at telephone 702-346-6911 or the Mesquite crime tip line at 702-346-8826.

Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
