ST. GEORGE – Kenworth Sales Company has purchased 27 acres of land, including the former Visitor Information Center property at the northeast corner of the Exit 2 Southern Corridor interchange with Interstate 15.

Kenworth Sales Company is planning a new, full-service 20,000-square-foot facility that includes parts, service and sales on 12 acres of the property. The facility will replace the company’s current location in Washington.

Kenworth Sales Company was founded in 1945 by the Treadway family who still own and operate the business.

Tom Callister and Travis Parry of Cushman & Wakefield Commerce represented Kenworth Sales Company in the property purchase from Utah Department of Transportation.

“The Cushman & Wakefield Commerce team found a great location to fit our needs,” Kyle Treadway, president of Kenworth Sales Company, said. “Kenworth Sales Company is excited to have such a great location for our new facility in Southern Utah.”

Kenworth Sales Company sells and services classes 6, 7 and 8 trucks with 21 branch locations in seven western states (Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming).

A new 25,000-square-foot Utah Visitor Information Center in St. George will also be constructed near Exit 2. The center has been headquartered at the Dixie Center St. George since 2008 when it was relocated from its old location near the Exit 2 interchange. The center’s former building burned to the ground in July.
