Ronda Rose Wigington

Ronda Rose Wigington passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, peacefully with her family by her side.

Ronda was born May 14, 1948, in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, to Lawrence and Janet (Jensen) Vance. Ronda married Paul Arthur Wigington Sept. 20, 1966, in the Logan Utah LDS Temple.

She was raised in southern Alberta the youngest of four children. She moved to Logan, Utah, during her high school years graduating in 1966. Logan was also the place she met her future husband, Paul, on a blind date. She moved to Germany where her husband Paul was stationed during his military career; this is where her first child was born.

Ronda and Paul lived in several of the northwestern states, finally deciding to make southern Alberta their home until 1985. They finally moved to St. George, Utah, where she finished raising their family. She loved serving any calling she was given as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She so adored and loved her grandchildren. Ronda spent a great amount of time doing family genealogy and she also loved her scrapbooking, making many scrapbooks for her family. She also attended what was then Dixie College where she worked hard on earning her Associates Degree. 

She is survived by her children: Steven (Rebecca) Wigington, Lisa Wigington, Troy (Kelly) Wigington, Stephanie (Mike) Butler; siblings Merlin (Patricia) Vance, Sandy (Mac) Brown; grandchildren Kasey, Bodee, Mason, Ladawn, Megan, Chance, Nichole, Alexzander, Johanna, Reese, and Kai, and five great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Wigington, her son, Larry H. Wigington, her brother, LaDell Vance, and her parents, Lawrence and Janet Vance.  

Funeral services

  • Visitation Thursday, Dec. 2, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. and prior to the funeral service Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
  • Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, 11 a.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary.
  • Interment will be after the service at Tonaquint Cemetery.
