ST. GEORGE — The St. George Jubilee of Trees event welcomes online bidders this year for their silent auction items.
Whether by smartphone, text message or computer, bids will be taken on silent auction items ranging from designer trees and enchanted forest items to holiday dining items and more.
Many of the auction items are already posted to view online, and the bidding has already begun. Some of these items include gift baskets, merchandise from local retailers and artisans, trips and more. The silent auction for these items will close Friday at 7:30 p.m.
But that’s not the end of the fun. On Friday, the designer trees, Enchanted Forest items and holiday dining items will be posted. At that point, they can be purchased at a “Buy it now” price. Otherwise, the silent auction for those items will officially begin on Saturday and close Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.
There are three ways bids can be placed; however, the first step is to register for the auction. Once registered, participants will have the following options for bidding:
- By smartphone: Click the link in your registration text. It will take you to a personal bidding page. Click on an item and place a bid.
- By text message: Text the 3-digit item number and amount to the welcome message you receive (i.e. 101 500). No dollar signs or decimals are needed.
- By computer: Click on an item and place a bid.
Participants will receive updates if they are outbid on a particular item, as well as notifications when new items are added to the auction.
In addition to the silent auction, there will be a live auction held at the “Gala Dinner and Auction” Friday from 6-9:30 p.m. For tickets, please call 435-251-2480 or purchase tickets online at the Intermountain Foundation event webpage.
All proceeds from the auction go to the advancement of Women and Newborn services at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George.
