ST. GEORGE — The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory and hazardous weather outlook for Washington County Tuesday through early Wednesday.

Gusty northeast winds near 45 mph are expected in the outlying sections of the county throughout the night.

Strong crosswinds may impact travel especially for high-profile vehicles on Interstate 15 and state routes 9 and 59.

Precautionary/preparedness actions

A wind advisory means that sustained wind speeds of at least 31 mph or gusts of 45 mph are expected. Motorists should be prepared for sudden gusty crosswinds which can make driving difficult.

Spotter information statement

Weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions to the National Weather Service according to standard operating procedures.
