3AA South Preview Show: Playoffs open with a bang tonight

ST. GEORGE — The 3AA South football show is here, with Andy Griffin bringing you insight, breaking down the fight and offering highlights from the 3AA South.

Pine View and Cedar will try and protect their home turfs, while Hurricane and Snow Canyon go on the road looking for an upset win as the 3AA playoffs begin today around the state.

Today’s 3AA South Preview Show, brought to you by Stephen Wade Auto Center, will dive deeper into the matchups as we see which players to watch for and what kind of games to expect.

For the Panthers, heavy favorites at home against Ben Lomond, they’ll have to contend with a big-time Scots running back. The Redmen, meanwhile, are up against a Park City team that loves to pass, pass, pass. The Tigers, on the road up North, will have to contend a Bear River team that runs the ball well out of the spread. And the Warriors will try and slow down a Ridgeline team that’s averaging more than 40 point a game the past three weeks.

Watch today’s 3AA South Preview Show and learn what to expect as your favorite team hits the gridiron tonight.

What is the point of a regular season if everyone makes the playoffs?

Hurricane and Snow Canyon each won 33% of their games this year. Their reward is for us to pay to get the teams to Tremonton and Cache Valley so they can have a shot at the state championship. Would anyone complain about having the top four teams from each region go to state rather than all six teams?

We really need to reevaluate our priorities in our education system. Total waste of money for most of us.
