OPINION — As the World Wide Web is searched every day, more interesting and useful websites are discovered — and a few that to some appear to be totally useless sites as well. Here are a few websites that are tops in each category.

Useful website

Coupons. Savings codes. Deals on gift cards. All at your fingertips. Say you’re ordering pizza from your favorite delivery service. Why pay full price? Simply plug their name into the search box and chances are you’ll get coupon codes that you can use immediately to save you and your family some money.

Not all codes will work, some are expired, or limited use, but it’s worth trying a few of them to find one that works. It can cut your shopping bills by quite a bit.

Amazon coupons, Macy’s, Chipotle, Michael’s, Hungry Howie’s Pizza and many more can be found at Retail Me Not.

Fun website

Imagine. A fun website that actually does some good in the world!

Play trivia and make a difference with Free Rice. Every time you get an answer right, the site donates 10 grains of rice to global hunger programs.

Free Rice is run by the United Nations World Food Program and uses revenue from in-site ads to pay for the food.

Useless website

Using Google Maps and your arrow keys, you can drive any road in the world using this website. Why? I guess because it’s there.

Put in areas around your house and drive around your neighborhood. Use one of the presets and drive the Nurburgring (a 13-mile winding, narrow circuit in Germany that has been described as the most terrifying motor racing track in history), the Los Angeles freeway system (a real nail-biter and rumored to be almost as terrifying as the Nurburgring) or Las Vegas (a gambler’s dream).

Useless? Sure. Fun? You bet. Especially driving off road and into other cars.
