Norine Stapley Cracraft Hinton

Norine Stapley Cracraft Hinton was born on March 18, 1933, in Joseph, Sevier, Utah, to Sim A. and Necha Jackman Stapley. She returned to her Heavenly Father on Oct. 1 in St. George, Utah, surrounded by her family. She graduated Richfield High School.  

She married Garn Jr. Cracraft on May 11, 1957, in the Manti temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He proceeded her in death on May 10, 1986. They had four children together, Linda Rae, Charles William, Grant Stapley and Anna Marie.

She married Antone Hinton in 1991. He proceeded her in death in 2005.

She worked as a lunch lady for the Washington County School District for many years until she retired. She loved to travel, camp, play card games and bake. All of her family will always think of her when they smell fresh baked bread.    

She is proceeded in death by her parents; husbands; siblings Thora, Melba, Erma, Floyd, Ivadell and Leland; sons Grant and Chuck; daughter Linda; and son-in-law Reed Langston.

She is survived by daughter Marie Langston; sisters Sharon and VondaRae (Ray); 11 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services

  • Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the Hurricane 5th Ward Chapel, 274 S. 100 West, Hurricane, Utah.
  • There will be a viewing from 9-10 a.m. prior to services at the church.
  • Interment will take place at the Richfield City Cemetery.
