WASHINGTON — Legend Solar, one of the fastest-growing solar power companies in Utah, has appointed Jed Alldredge as president of the company. Alldredge’s main responsibilities will be managing day-to-day operations to help Legend Solar fine tune its processes and strategy for continued growth.

The move provides co-founders and co-owners Shane Perkins and Shaun Alldredge with more time to focus on strategic efforts in guiding the company toward the future of solar energy for homes and businesses.

Jed Alldredge brings to Legend Solar more than 30 years of experience in international business management, marketing, communications and consulting. He previously was founder of the Millennia Group, a management and communications consulting firm for businesses ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies in a variety of industries including technology, finance, transportation, hospitality and energy.

He developed a unique business management strategy called the “Sustain Success System©,” which provides managers with a framework for managing every aspect of their business to achieve and maintain a market-leading position for the long term. He was also a senior vice president of sales and marketing at Steton Technology Group and director of marketing at OneWorld Online.

“Jed is a seasoned business leader who has served on our board since the beginning of the company,” Perkins said. “His strategic and operations experience in consulting with both small and large companies will help lead our company successfully as we expand throughout the West.”

“I’m thrilled to join one of the best solar providers in the nation, helping manage fast-paced growth, so we can continue to serve customers in our ‘Legendary’ way,” Jed Alldredge said. “I’ve helped numerous companies manage their high-growth periods, and I can apply that knowledge to help Legend Solar during this exciting time.”

Jed Alldredge started his career as a writer – publishing articles and scripting industrial films, training videos and video magazines. Among these projects was a ghost-writing contract for the book “Wealth Without Risk,” by Charles Givens, which made The New York Times Best Seller List.

Inc. magazine recently ranked Legend Solar No. 29 with three-year sales growth of 7,102 percent on this year’s Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Legend Solar was also ranked No. 1 among Utah companies and No. 2 in the Energy Industry in this year’s list.
