ST. GEORGE — In an effort to raise funds to continue providing free tax preparation services for those in need, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance – or VITA – program is hosting a fundraiser Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar in St. George.
During the fundraising hours, 10 percent of all food and drink purchases — both dine in and take out — will be donated to the VITA program, which utilizes IRS-certified volunteers to help with tax preparation for low-income households, those with disabilities and those with limited English-speaking abilities.
The VITA tax program is implemented by the Utah’s “Earn it. Keep it. Save it.” campaign and the Southern Utah Asset Building Coalition.
