Gail Jay ‘Whitey’ Yergensen, age 81, jumping his final hurdle in life, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at 6:18 p.m. surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife, Alta, of 60 years, and his four children; Tamara (the late Jim Riches), Cynthia (Brad), Brad, (Michelle) and Victor; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Whitey loved his family first and foremost and always worked hard to provide. He proudly served in the military.
He enjoyed golf, pine nut hunting, fishing, pheasant hunting, gardening and his dog Buddy.
Funeral Services
- Funeral services for Whitey will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016, at 9 a.m. at Pine View Mortuary, 566 N. Mall Drive, St. George, Utah.
- Interment will be held at the Tonaquint Cemetery.
