Ora “Kaye” Peterson, 79, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016. She was born April 3, 1937, in Preston, Idaho, to Willis and Ora Choules. She married Glenn Peterson on Feb. 19, 1959, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Kaye’s greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn; children, Brad (Linda) Peterson, North Salt Lake, Utah; Jordan (Angela) Peterson, Thomasville, N.C.; Julie (Justin) Sorenson, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Angie (Matt) Phillips of Canyon Lake, Calif.; Carolyn Cook Rittenhouse; sisters, Maridee (Craig) Earl, Sandy, Utah; Nancy (Mark) Romig, Evanston, Wyo.; and her 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marlene Gifford and Joyce Tilley, and grandchild, Torey Johnson.
Funeral Services
- Funeral services will be held Friday, August 5, 2016, at the Washington Fields Stake Center, 1295 S. 3000 East, St. George, Utah.
- Friends may call between 9 a.m., for the viewing, with the funeral directly following at 11 a.m.
- Interment will take place in the Washington City Cemetery.
