ST. GEORGE — In order to fulfill its mission to provide shelter and resources to survivors of domestic abuse, often mothers and their children, the Erin Kimball Memorial Foundation depends on donations, fundraisers and volunteers. The foundation is asking for help with a “Reduce, Reuse, Renew Rummage/Bake Sale” to be held next Saturday.

If you are a Scout troop leader, member of an organized club or church group or just part of a group of friends that likes to do good things, this is a fine opportunity to get involved in an important cause. Volunteers are needed before and during the sale for pricing, organizing, preparation for and work on the day of the sale.

The Erin Kimball Memorial Foundation provides shelter and resources to survivors of domestic abuse, adults and their children who are sometimes homeless. In doing so, many of these people are able to create and sustain healthy, safe and secure families.

How you can help

Prep days will be Thursday from noon until 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The sale on Saturday will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the air-conditioned gym at the Washington City Museum on the corner of Main and Telegraph streets in Washington City.

The Reduce, Reuse, Renew Rummage Sale will offer new and used toys, household goods, clothing, sporting goods and other goodies.

The foundation is still accepting donations, so you can “reduce” what you have at home through donations, giving someone else the chance to “reuse” it … and you’ll be “renewing” lives at the same time.

To donate, please contact the foundation at 435-627-9232 or email [email protected] to make an appointment. Donations may also be dropped off at the gym on Thursday or Friday at the aforementioned prep times.

To volunteer, please email [email protected].

All proceeds from Reduce, Reuse, Renew Rummage/Bake Sale go to the Erin Kimball Memorial Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
