SANTA CLARA — Speed, a curvy road, and a new driver all combined to cause a single vehicle rollover crash in Santa Clara Tuesday.
“We have a vehicle that appears to have been traveling southbound on Rachel Drive which is 600 East,” said Santa Clara-Ivins Police Sgt. Jaron Studley. “It’s unknown right now what rate of speed he was traveling, it appears to be that it was higher than the speed limit.”
There is a long, sweeping left turn on Rachel Drive just past North Town Road.
“He left the roadway,” Studley said. “It appears that he lost control, entered the roadway, then exited the roadway at which point his vehicle ended up rolling.”
The vehicle ended up on its wheels. and the driver was standing outside the vehicle when authorities arrived.
The driver was under 18 and was in the Oldsmobile Intrigue by himself. Studley said it is unclear if the driver was wearing his seat belt. He refused transport to the hospital.
The sergeant said the driver was cited for failure to maintain his lane. The accident remains under investigation.
Santa Clara-Ivins Police, and Santa Clara Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.

That seems like a lame ticket to give. If you roll your vehicle it’s not going to maintain in the lane. Where’s the mercy percy. No other vehicle or person involved. Stupid ticket
well, rolling a low value beater car might not be a lesson learned. a ticket will raise ur insurance rates. could have cited him for reckless driving.
Maybe it wasn’t much of a ticket because he’s a member of Bob’s one world government. .! LMAO ! HA HA HA HA HA
