REVIEW – Director John Carney of “Once” returns with “Sing Street,” an ’80s coming-of-age tale about a teen in Dublin who forms a rock band in hopes of rising above his oppressors and winning over the girl of his dreams. It’s a timeless theme, will you sing its praises?

Jodie Foster’s “Money Monster” fashions a topical story about a desperate investor who takes a TV show crew hostage after receiving less-than-sound financial advice from the show’s charismatic host. The all-star cast includes George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Jack O’Connell. Does it yield value for your investment?
