Police investigate armed robbery at Domino’s Pizza, seek information

ST. GEORGE — Police investigating an alleged armed robbery of a Domino’s Pizza restaurant in Mesquite Friday issued a release Tuesday afternoon asking anyone with information about the incident to contact authorities.

Just aft 7 p.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at Domino’s Pizza located at 360 N. Sandhill Blvd., Mesquite Police Department said in a media statement.

At approximately 7:09 p.m., a suspect walked up to the front counter of the restaurant, brandished a handgun and demanded money, police said. The employee at the front counter gave the suspect approximately $60 and the suspect fled the area on foot.

After the suspect left, the store employee was able to dial 911. Officers arrived on scene and began searching the area for the suspect but were unable to find him.

The Mesquite Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect. He is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with reddish hair and reddish facial hair. According to the police statement, he was wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket with a white shirt underneath and was carrying a black handgun.

“Mesquite Detectives have been following leads in this case, including another armed robbery at a Domino’s pizza in Las Vegas which occurred the same day,” police said.

Detectives are also attempting to locate a vehicle of interest which may have been involved in the robbery. According to the police statement, the vehicle is a small red vehicle with damage to the front hood and the front headlamp on the driver’s side.
