Marilyn Gubler Hardy, 82, passed away surrounded by family at her home in Cedar City, Utah, May 10, 2016.  She was born on January 11, 1934, in Hurricane, Utah to H. Winfred and Alice Isom Gubler.

Marilyn married Chance M Hardy September 6, 1951.  In 1989 they were sealed in the St. George Temple.  They spent 36 years raising their family in Las Vegas, until retiring to LaVerkin, Utah where they celebrated 50 years of marriage before Chance’s passing.  Marilyn was married to Leroy Johnson from 2005 until he passed in 2008.  In 2014 Marilyn married Ronald Hardy, moved to Cedar City where she spent the last 2 years of her life.

Marilyn was an adventurous woman, a loyal strong hard worker, with a passion for family history work.  She had a strong testimony in Jesus Christ and spent her life serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Hardy; four children; Darwin (Gracelyn) Hardy, Edwin (Laurie) Hardy, Susan (Mark) Mangum, Mace (Sheryl) Hardy; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; and siblings Norman (Ann) Gubler, Demar (Helen) Gubler, Shirley (Gerry) Buckner, Terry (Patti) Gubler and Lolene (Darwin) Gifford. She is preceded in death by two husbands and brother, Gordon Gubler.

Funeral Services

  • Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the LaVerkin Stake Center, 481 N. Main Street, LaVerkin, Utah.
  • There will be a viewing prior to services from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center.
  • Interment will take place in the LaVerkin City Cemetery.
