He was born December 8, 1945, in Long Beach, California to John Lester and Beatrice Scott Robins. He was sealed to the love of his life, Ruth G. Mike was born and raised in Long Beach, California. At age 19 he served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Toronto Ontario Canada Mission (1964-66).
