ST. GEORGE – Police are investigating an alleged assault and robbery that occurred in Bloomington Monday.
A woman in her 30s told police she was assaulted by two individuals around 4:45 p.m. while she was on the sidewalk along Pioneer Road near 4100 South. The suspects also stole some property from the woman before fleeing the scene, St. George Police Sgt. Johnny Heppler said.
When patrol officers arrived they found the woman was bleeding from injuries to her head and arms. The woman’s medical needs were tended to by emergency personnel from Gold Cross Ambulance.
Officers with the St. George Police Department’s Investigations Division arrived next and began to process the scene and interview the victim.
“They have suspect info they are following up with,” Heppler said, adding he was unable to go into further detail at the time due to the ongoing investigation.
Units of the St. George Police and Fire departments also responded to the scene.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement and may not contain the full scope of findings.

That’s disgusting, a woman is assaulted and her family is devastated and someone comes in and makes crude comments about it. It’s amazing how ignorant people can be. Sympathy to the woman and the fam whilyo’s life have been so dramatically altered
