ST. GEORGE — Forget packing the kids into the car and hoping for a close parking spot to escape the blistering heat faster. Grocery shopping at Lin’s in St. George just got much easier thanks to Lin’s to Go.
Lin’s new service allows guests to order their groceries online and pick them up curbside at the store, its news release said.
Lin’s to Go is currently available at the Washington Fields location, which opened in March.

Another Lin’s to Go will soon be implemented at the Sunset Boulevard store.
Lin’s to Go makes grocery shopping easy with four simple steps:
- Shoppers need to create a free Lin’s to Go account on the Lin’s website
- Once their account has been created, shoppers can select which groceries they want
- After their order is complete, shoppers select a time to pick up their groceries
- When they arrive, shoppers can park in one of the designated areas and text the Lin’s to Go team to bring their groceries out to the car
“The purpose of Lin’s to Go is to help you get the groceries you need, even when you don’t have time to shop,” said Steve Bitter, customer service operations manager for Associated Retail Operations and Lin’s. “Our personal shoppers have been trained to shop for you the way you would shop for yourself. If they have any questions about your order, they’ll text you to make sure we provide exactly what you want.”
There is a small fee for the service, the release said, but shoppers will benefit from all in-store ads, sales and promotions.
The service launched when the Washington Fields location opened and guests have loved it, the company’s news release said. Lin’s expects to reach more shoppers across St. George with the convenient service and is currently looking into expanding the program to all 7 locations across Southern Utah.

People are getting busier and busier or is it lazier and lazier. I may try it and never shop for myself again and never stand in line and unload groceries onto belt and then load my groceries into the cart, and unload the cart and load the groceries into my car. Sounds amazing!
It sounds amazing because you’re lazy….I’ll do my own shopping
Haha! Totally! But, I won’t be able to use the service. Don’t miss me too much dot! I made a trip to California today to take care of my mom 24/7. Don’t know when I’ll be back in St George but I’ll always have internet haha! The beach is beautiful 😉
And this is just the type of innovative thinking that makes a business stand out from all the others. I get so sick and tired of hearing the sniveling and whining about “not being able to compete with Walmart.” Horse puckey! Of COURSE you can compete with Walmart and all the other big box stores. Just give the customers SERVICE! It is something you won’t find at any of the big box stores.
Oh yeah, while I’m on the subject, the Lins in Hurricane sure could use some training on customer service. Particularly their manager who walks around the store and pointedly ignores the customers.
You are absolutely right, PR! Businesses CAN prevail against the big guys. It’s all about the service! As for the Hurricane Lin’s, never shopped there. The manager at the Sunset location, Jeff, he’s on point!
The handicapped people will appreciate this service very much. Thanks Lins you are amazing I’ll always shop there
Absolutely.
It seems to me it would take the same amount of time or longer to select everything on your computer or more likely the tiny screen of your phone than it would to actually put the items in the cart yourself. However, I am sure this is a winning idea and helpful to many. I personally like getting a little exercise and interacting with people every once and awhile.
