TAIWAN — An 18-year-old missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints died Tuesday in Taiwan.
Fox 13 Now reports that Elder David Hampton of North Ogden was riding his bicycle when a car hit him. Hampton had been serving as a missionary in the Taiwan Taichung mission since December 2015.
Hampton’s parents, Steve and Cyndi Hampton, released the following statement:
We are thankful for our family who is with us and appreciate and are strengthened by their love and prayers, and the love and prayers expressed by so many others.
At this point, we do not have any other information about the funeral or when he will be brought home.
