ST. GEORGE — Dixie Student Nursing Association will be hosting a symposium entitled “Cannabis Therapeutics and More” on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Russell C. Taylor Health Science Building located on Medical Center Drive.
The event will be moderated by Jeanne Black, a retired LPN and the founder and executive director of Gramma’s for Ganja. Black will also be giving a presentation entitled “Organization Cannabis—Origin, History in the U.S., Hemp Products.”
Other speakers at the symposium will include registered nurse Julie Monteiro of the American Cannabis Nurses Association who will speak on “Endocannabinoid system in the human body” and Bruce Solomon, LCSW and re-adjustment counselor for the Department of Veterans Affairs who will speak on “Vets and PTSD.”
