Mesquite City Manager Andy Barton holds community forum; City Clerk also slated to speak

MESQUITE— Community members are invited to meet with Mesquite City Manager Andy Barton at noon on Thursday for a community forum at Scotty’s Bar and Grill at Falcon Ridge Golf Course. This is an opportunity for residents to ask questions, voice concerns or just meet the city manager.

Joy Eastwood, executive assistant to the the Mayor and City Manager, said that Mesquite Deputy City Clerk Tracy Beck will also be in attendance and speaking at this forum.

“We try to get a department head each time to kind of give a run down of their department and what’s going on,” Eastwood said. “So they will do that for a few minutes, and Andy speaks for a few minutes, and then we open it up to comments or concerns. And we try to address those.”

Eastwood said the forum is a casual environment.

“We just try to give everybody an informal atmosphere where they can come with their concerns.”
