Storm triggers power outage in Washington City

WASHINGTON CITY – A power outage was reported in the Washington City area north of the Virgin River just after 10 p.m. Monday.

According to Washington City Power’s Facebook page:

A transformer has been effected by the storm on Quail Ridge Drive. Our lineman have been notified and are working to repair the transformer and restore power to the effected areas.

Washington City Power posted the update around 11 p.m.

St. George News was unable to confirm the scope of the power outage as of 11:30 p.m. It is also currently unknown as to when power may be restored.
