“We made several costly mistakes,” said Dixie head coach Dave Demas. “Our errors hurt us early.”

Berick Englestead dominated on the mound as the Redmen, picked to finish near the top of Region 9, captured the road win.

cedar-logoCedar improved to 6-4 overall and has won three games in a row. The Redmen have yet to play a game at home this season and recent snow has made it difficult to even hold practices out of doors.

CHS will play two more road games this weekend with a trip to Parowan Friday, then a game at Westlake and against Uintah on a neutral field in Utah County.

The Redmen have their first home scheduled for next Tuesday with crosstown rival Canyon View (4 p.m.) as their final tune-up before region begins.
