Wallace Compton Morgan, 91, went home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2016. Wally was born October 15, 1924, in Clearfork, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Andrew S. and Biddie E. Morgan of Baileysville, West Virginia.
Wally retired from the U.S Civil Service in 1975 after 30 years of service to his country. Ten years were spent in the U.S. Air Force beginning in January 1943 during World War II with one tour of duty in the China, Burma, India Theater of operations and the remaining service within the Continental United States. His civil service career took him to England where he spent 20 years working for the Air Force. Wally met and married his wife Theresa F. Morgan in 1969 and they lived in St. George, Utah, since 1975. Wally was preceded in death by all of his 16 siblings.
Wally was an avid golfer and played for many years. Then in 1994 he turned his life over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and has served the Lord since that date. Wally produced a 30 minute radio program called “Wally’s Gospel Half Hour” and has been able to spread the Gospel throughout Southern Utah and Parts of Nevada. This program was aired on the radio for over 12 years. Spreading the Gospel and helping others was Wally’s primary goal since becoming a born again Christian in 1994.
His wife, Theresa resides in St. George, Utah. Wally became a member of the First Southern Baptist Church but always insisted that he would go to Heaven as a Christian in lieu of being a Baptist. Southern Gospel music was a music that he loved and he had a nursing home ministry where he would go and sing to the residents. He has been active in prison ministries since 1994.
He wants everyone to know that as of now, he has something that money cannot buy and that is Eternal life with God the Father in Heaven. And above all Wally wants to see all of you around the Throne of God in Heaven, so if you have not already done so, turn your life over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and do it now before it’s too late.
Wally requested that no formal services be held.
