ST. GEORGE — St. George News and 97.7 FM Sports Radio ESPN is hosting the 2016 Region 9 Baseball Media Day. Media Day will take place today at 1 p.m.
Region 9 head coaches will be attending with three or four key players representing their schools.
Region 9 Media Day will be broadcast live on 97.7 FM Sports Radio ESPN, and streamed live on stgnews.com.
Region 9 Media Day will cover the preseason outlook and preview for each school, along with an open forum question and answer with coaches and players from the media in attendance.
Region 9 was at it again last year with three teams in the State Semifinals and an All-Region 9 Showdown in the State Championship between Pine View and Cedar. Other teams in Region 9 include Desert Hills, Snow Canyon, Dixie and Hurricane.
Here is the Media Day itinerary and expected participants:
Hurricane Tigers: 1-1:20 p.m.
Hurricane – Coach Jon Homer

Cedar: 1:20-1:40 p.m.
