ST. GEORGE – Pine View’s Bo Bundy knows the secret to success on the soccer field.

“Hard work and lots of practice,” said Bundy, who scored two goals in the Panthers’ 7-2 victory over Carbon on Saturday.

pine-view-logo“Good passes (are the key to scoring),” Bundy said. “We have to come out strong; if we didn’t we kind of fall apart.”

Kalob Dudley got Pine View’s goal-scorers going when he blasted the rebound off Alex Rodriguez’ shot into the net with 35:42 left in the first half. He scored again two minutes later when he dribbled in from 15 yards out. Dudley finished off a hat trick when he put in another rebound after Michael Cardenas’ shot hit the crossbar on the goal.

Pine View followed with two more goals, from Anwar Schone and Pesa Teoni, before the Dinos’ Matthew Webster finished the scoring with 4:41 remaining.

“We got to get some juniors who often don’t play anything but junior varsity some varsity experience,” said Pine View coach Sam Johnston.

Johnston continued, “We got some great crosses; those early goals set the tone. We need to get Kalob and Michael Cardenas some confidence.”

Shortly after that, Dias was fouled in the box and Av’ry Green put the PK in for his second goal of the game. Dixie maintained possession as our goalkeepers, Ethan Poulton and Bridget Wright, touched the ball two times.”
