ST. GEORGE — A man was discovered Friday afternoon hanging in the bathroom of a St. George fast food restaurant.
At approximately 12:15 p.m., police responded to McDonald’s restaurant located at 1235 S. Bluff Street in St. George on a report of an adult male found dead in the bathroom, St. George Police Sgt. Jordan Minnick said.
The man, who was not an employee of the restaurant, had died from an apparent suicide, Minnick said.
A McDonald’s employee discovered the man hanging in the bathroom during the busy lunchtime hour.
The restaurant lobby was cleared and closed to patrons for some time as authorities tended to the scene. The drive-thru remained open to customers.
Minnick said the incident is still under investigation.
“There’s a few different things that may come into factor,” Minnick said, “and so they’re still trying to figure out which one of those played a contributing part to his death.”

This is very sad. But for crying out loud, shut down the drive-thru McDonald’s. How would you like to be driving up for your lunch just as the coroner van is loading up the body!!!!! Employees had to keep working with a dead body in the store.
It’s hard to order a happy meal when they’re wheeling out a corpse.
$10 says the picture with the stretcher has it’s own internet meme by the end of next week.
Seriously that is pretty much McDONALDS SAYING “WE DONT REALLY CARE ABOUT THE INCIDENT WE SURLY DONT CARE ABOUT OUR EMPLOYEES AND WE COMPLETELY DO NOT CARE ABOUT OUR CUSTOMARS”
HOWEVER THE TRUE POINT IN THIS IS THE VICTIM … SO EVERYONE ELES CAN SHUT UP BESIDES THE POOR PERSON WHO FOUND HIM
Ed. ellipsis.
strange stories today. could be a bad omen…

Agreed! Should have shutdown McDonald’s. Feel for the employees that had to keep working, it’s terrible
I wouldn’t trust a hamburger there for the next few weeks.
