As part of an ongoing investigation into prostitution and sexual solicitation, authorities located an advertisement on a known website that offers prostitution services, according to a probable cause statement filed by the St. George Police Department in support of the arrest.

Through the website, an undercover officer arranged to exchange money for sexual acts with two women, who were identified as 48-year-old Xia Ray Yan and 64-year-old Guo Jiang.

“It was determined that Guo (Jiang) was encouraging, inducing and otherwise causing Xia Yan to become or remain in prostitution,” the arresting officer wrote in the statement. “Guo also assisted Xia in coming from Los Angeles to St. George for the purpose of prostitution.”

Yan and Jiang were working from a St. George residence that had been converted into a massage parlor, the report stated.

Yan and Jiang were arrested Thursday and booked into the Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility.

Both women were charged with a class A misdemeanor for not having the license required for massage practice, along with two class B misdemeanors for sexual solicitation and doing business without a license.

Yan appeared before Judge John J. Walton in 5th District Court Tuesday afternoon for her court arraignment.

Jiang is scheduled to make her initial court appearance before Judge Walton Thursday afternoon.

Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

God loves them and wants them. He created them to love them. He hasnt’ given up on them.. if they won’t give up on HIM.. i pray their hearts come to a resolution to leave this terrible life behind them.. no amount of independence and / or dependence is worth that cold, empty feeling left behind by this life. Praying they seek love from the Father.. not people who would judge them. In Christ name i pray, Amen.

I’ll tell you what Debbie, if God created these two creatures in His/Her likeness He/She is ugly. Also, thanks for the sermon, it was better than a BYU devotional.

So just to be the devil’s advocate here: if my friend comes into my home and has me paint her nails and then pays me $5, I am breaking the law? Is the inside of a private residence no longer private? What these women are doing is likely disgusting but it’s not at a hotel, a restaurant bathroom, a public park or any other number of places. They were doing their thing in a private residence. Where has our privacy gone? Get the government out of our sex lives!

Yes you are breaking the law! If the feds found out about that they could swat-bust down your door and arrest you, or shoot you in the back. We as the general population would have to support their actions and call them heros for doing their job. Want to know why? Because you were breaking the law, and the charges against you would be:
      Federal tax evasion
Operating a business without a license
      Soliciting

And if you protest their intrusion, you also get slapped with:
Impeding a Federal Officer from carrying out their job
      Resisting arrest

See how easy it would be for the charges to make you sound like a hardened criminal?
You’ll get the same support from us you gave the Bundys, you law breaking, tax evading criminal.

You got that right! They lied to me in elementary school when they told me I live in a free country.
