Authorities ask for help locating St. George woman

UPDATE: Shea’s cousin, Amy Rojas, confirmed to St. George News that Shea was located later in the day March 1.

ST. GEORGE — St. George police are asking for the public’s help in locating 42-year-old Jennifer Janz Shea, who was last seen on Feb. 25 at approximately 11:30 p.m. in the neighborhood of W. 680 North near Valley View Drive.

Officer Lona Trombley with the St. George Police Department told St. George News that the missing person report was filed Feb. 27 and that Shea was listed nationwide on the National Crime Information Center system as a missing person. The case has been assigned to a detective for follow-up.

“We had a couple of different leads that we followed up on,” Trombley said, “but we have not made contact with her yet.”

A family member of Shea’s said she was dropped off on the evening of Feb. 25 near another family member’s house on W. 680 North, at which point Shea reportedly said she was going to the Chevron gas station on the corner of Valley View Drive  and W. Sunset Boulevard.

Shea is described as follows:

  • Height ­– 5 feet 4 inches
  • Weight – 150 pounds
  • Age – 42
  • Skin color – White
  • Hair – Darker brown, most likely in ponytail or bun
  • Eyes – Brown
  • Distinguishing features – Left arm is injured as the result of a recent dislocation
  • Clothing – Shea was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and an oversized white sweatshirt. She also carries a large black purse
