ST. GEORGE — A healthy lifestyle depends upon a balanced and wholesome diet, no news there, but it can can be difficult to start and maintain that practice without help – until now. Fit Food 2 You in St. George offers a pre-prepared meal program that takes the decision-making out of the equation by bringing nutritious, inexpensive and tasty food – food that is ready-to-eat in under two minutes.

Tony Tanner, one of the founders of Fit Food 2 You has always lived an active lifestyle, he said. Motorcycling, mountain biking, hiking and climbing were all staples of his workouts but age was creeping up on him and, he said, he was finding that he could no longer out run a bad diet.
“I needed to try to figure out how to eat healthy,” Tanner said, “but I am not a dieter.”
Tanner, who said he is a Type 2 diabetic and described himself as a large but active guy expressed what many people experience when they realize they need to eat healthy but are afraid of the word “diet.”
“Everybody seems to view the decision to eat healthy and clean as a big one,” Tanner said, adding that most people are reluctant to commit to making healthy eating habits for one or a combination of three reasons:
- It is going to be super expensive
- It is going to be inconvenient or difficult
- The food isn’t going to taste good
Fit Food 2 You has eliminated all of the excuses for not eating healthy by offering a product that is planned and set by a nutritionist and prepared by a top chef using real food; and all for what a customer would normally spend at the grocery store.
When creating Fit Food 2 You, Tanner said they spent about a year-and-a-half testing chefs and tasting different food to come up with food choices that bridged the gap between meal plans that were healthy and meal plans that tasted good.
Some of their meal options include caprese baked tilapia, lemon herb chicken with pan sauce, Florentine eggs and ham, pan-seared pork with apple cherry chia chutney and mango and pineapple muffins.
“If we could come up with a diet that I can stick with,” Tanner said, “then anyone can stick with it.”
The new company has seen early success with customers reporting not only weight loss but better sleep and improved skin clarity as results of a healthy eating regimen.

The full Fit Food 2 You program comes with three meals and two snacks a day which are prepared, then packaged into microwave containers and picked up at the Fit Food 2 You location, 376 E. Sunland Drive, Suite 9, St. George.
Meal plans can also be specialized to fit your needs, Tanner said. For example if you only need dinners or only lunch and dinners they can create a plan that is suited to you.
