Community members turned out in high numbers to see the new store, partake in a myriad of free samples, try their skills at a monster climbing wall and win prizes as they helped welcome the newest of the convenience store’s chain to the neighborhood.

Maverik was founded by Reuel Call in Afton, Wyoming, in 1928. What was once designed as small country stores has grown to nearly 280 stores in 10 states with plans to expand into the Las Vegas, Nevada, Denver, Colorado, and Spokane, Washington, markets, a press release statement for Maverik said.

As Maverik has grown they have changed their branding to “Adventure’s First Stop,” a trademarked slogan that not only represents the shopping experience but a lifestyle, said Sam Campbell, regional director.

Nitro, the public face of Maverik Adventure’s First Stop expounded on what that means to the store and the experience a customer should expect when they enter into the new facility as well as any of their stores:

Anytime you come into a Maverik you are going to feel adventure. We promote anything active lifestyles, anything that you want to do, so we would love for you to come here as your first stop in the morning but we all know that we go on our own adventure … whether it’s rock climbing around St. George, going 4-wheeling or just going to your cubicle job, it’s an adventure, everyone’s got one and we want to be the first stop to make your day legendary as you continue on.

The new store is equipped with the latest and greatest in innovation think televisions in the soda fountain dispensers as well as customer amenities that include food service options such as wood-fired pizza from the Bonfire Grill and the irresistible smell and taste of Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, a new offering for the Southern Utah area, Campbell said.

Customers will also find Maverik  food staples and inexpensive gasoline prices but it is their customer service and loyalty perks that come with the Nitro Card, that really set them apart from any other convenience store, Campbell said.

“The one thing we do, I think better than anyone else,” Nitro said, “is our loyalty program.”

Customers can earn points through the Nitro Card on gasoline and in-store purchases that can be accumulated and used for gift cards and branded merchandise; and card holders are also entered to win big prizes. The company has given away Harley Davidson motorcycles, X-Boxes and adventure giveaways, Nitro said.

“Customers are going to be well taken care of inside the store,” Campbell said, “there are great people who work here and they want to treat (the customer) right, there are going to be good prices, great quality product, good fuel prices as well and it is going to smell like cinnamon rolls. The experience is going to be amazing.”

The new Maverik Adventure’s First Stop is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Thank you for completely ruining the traffic flow on the BLVD for the rest of eternity! I use zero ethanol fuel. That means I will never have to consider navigating a Maverick parking lot. I hate Maverick! People of the STG…ITS A GAS STATION!!! Some of you people took time out of your day just to be seen at a gas station. What is the big deal? Oh ya, the 200oz fountain drinks are colder here?! Like the folks in this town need anymore soda. Maybe its the 9 different grades of crap fuel you have the option to put in your car. I have to give it to the Maverick marketing team for making this one of the most successful fuel stations in Utah. GO FALCONS!

To make things worse (…) you hang out at a gas station (the worst gas station) and your telling me to get a life and a hobby. Maybe you should take a good look at what you are doing in your life to grow has a respectable member of society.

Hey Cry Baby Dalton. .here’s an update I went to Maverik today and the place was packed and people were getting gas and a few nick nacks and some sandwiches and some cold drinks. Some people got a salad and some yogurt and the gas was at a good price. There were a few people there sitting at the chair and table area having a snack and a cold drinks. ..and the best part is you weren’t there. …

GOOD! Keep going to Maverick and eating your snacks and drinking your soda. Keep proving Obama right! Then I won’t ever have to run into you at my local corner store. We don’t want your kind there anyway. Stay on your side of town and I will take the back way when I have to travel to this side of town. The BLVD is lame anyway and Maverick makes it worse. I would rather not use it. Reppin- Green Valley Market! I do have a question though…does your bishop know you drink so much soda? Sounds to me like your the type who hides their tobacco habit from the wife. Then hangs out in front of a gas station Datelining young girls. GO FALCONS!
