Just after 11 p.m., in the area of 200 South and Main Street, police responded to a disorderly conduct call involving a gunshot from inside a residence, St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said.

While at the scene, police encountered a man who came out of the house who turned out to be an alleged victim in the case, Despain said.

The man told police that there had been an argument among a group of people inside the home. During the argument, an individual brandished a gun and fired the weapon. The group left the area following the shot being fired.

During the incident, the St. George Police SWAT team was called in as a part of a request for additional resources, Despain said.

The man who police encountered had warrants out for his arrest and was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility.

No one was seriously injured in the incident, Despain said.

While police cleared the scene by 1:30 a.m., the case is considered active and police are attempting to contact other parties involved in the incident, Despain said.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings. Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

Another episode of law enforcement engaging the escalating crime wave that is sweeping across the Southern Dixie community as it raids and plunders the nearby villages. as the forces of good and evil intertwine over the battlefield of human righteousness the war goes on !

Watch your mouth, dot boy. No need to use those micro-aggression terms like ‘escalating crime wave’ when referring to the influx of foreign criminal entrepreneurs.
The term you should be using is ‘DIVERSITY’, and you’d better learn to embrace it.
After all, they’re only here for a better life.

Watch your mouth, Dot Boy! You sound like an anti-diversity bigot now. Just follow the party line and accept what happens. There is NO correlation of illegals/criminals/drug dealers and the increased crime. If there were, don’t you think people would acknowledge it?
      Don’t be mad, Dot Boy.
Oh and in this day and age, we don’t call the surrounding towns “villages” anymore.
      Your turn kid.
