News short: Reward offered in Cedar City tire slashing case

CEDAR CITY — A Cedar City family is offering a $250 reward, police announced Friday, for information leading to the arrest of the responsible party in a criminal mischief incident that happened Jan. 12 in the parking lot of Lin’s Marketplace in Cedar City.

The owner of a Toyota Sequoia reported to Cedar City Police that his tire was slashed some time between 10 and 10:30 p.m. while he was in the store shopping, according to a Cedar City Police Department media statement issued Friday.  

The victim indicated that some juveniles were in the area as he entered the store,” the release stated, “but were gone upon his return.”
