UPDATE: Lawrence Byrne was locate deceased near the City of Williams, Arizona, according to the Coconino Sheriff’s Office.
COCONINO COUNTY, Ariz. — Arizona authorities are asking the public’s help in locating 46-year-old Lawrence Byrne, who was last seen on New Year’s Day.
The Coconino Sheriff’s Office issued a news release Wednesday afternoon asking for aid in locating Byrne.
“Byrne was reported missing by his brother, Shawn Byrne, to both Phoenix PD and Scottsdale PD,” the Sheriff’s Office said. He has also been added into the state’s criminal database as a missing person.
Byrne’s family is worried he may be suicidal.
The Sheriff’s Office was contacted due to the possibility Byrne may be in Coconino County, near Williams, Arizona.
He is believed to be driving a white Volkswagen Touareg SUV with Arizona plates reading: BRC2028.
Byrne is described as a Caucasian male with brown hair and eyes, standing at 5 feet, 11 inches and weighing 200 pounds.
“Coconino County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Search and Rescue have conducted some ground and air searches with negative contact with Lawrence or his vehicle,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
