William Allen Fountain, 90, passed his soul on to the everlasting life, to God and his angels, Jan. 14, 2016, in Ivins, Utah. He was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Dublin, Georgia, to Wli and Annie Dixon Fountain.
William was a Sgt. 1st Class in the U.S. Army, serving in three wars: WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
He is survived by his sweetheart of 43 years, Lydia of Ivins, Utah; children, Garl A. (Marsha) Fountain of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Connie (Virgil) Hughes of Lawton, Oklahoma; grandchildren Weslee, Max, Tony, Alex, Kevin, Brandy, Russell, Samantha; Robin and Christy (daughters of Debra Kay Holcom); and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wli and Annie Fountain; daughter Debra Kay Holcom; an infant son, William Allen; three sisters; and two brothers.
- Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1 p.m., in the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, Utah.
- There will be a viewing prior to services, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the mortuary.
- Interment will take place in the Tonaquint Cemetery.
