CEDAR CITY — No more preseason. No more prognostication. It’s time for Region 9 basketball.
It starts tonight with three big games around the area.
In this week’s Region 9 Hoops Preview, we take a look at what to expect on the hardcourt tonight as Pine View visits Dixie, Hurricane travels to Desert Hills and Snow Canyon is in Iron County with a matchup against the Cedar Redmen.

Tonight’s games (all games are at 7 p.m.)
Pine View (7-4) at Dixie (10-3) – CEC-TV, ESPNRadio 97.7 FM
Hurricane (7-6) at Desert Hills (10-1) – 890-AM KDXU
Snow Canyon (4-5) at Cedar (5-5) – 590-AM KSUB
Canyon View’s boys team, which now plays in Region 12, has started region play off on the right foot. The Falcons trekked to Price Tuesday night and defeated the Carbon Dinos 75-69.
Lorenzo Camba had 22 points and Brantzen Blackner chipped in 17 for CV, which improved to 10-6 overall. It is the first region game for any opf the Region 12 teams, so the Falcons sit alone atop the region with a 1-0 record.
