Annual Spring Benefit Dinner, Auction features Eric Dodge

ST. GEORGE — Assistance League of Southern Utah will host their Annual Spring Benefit Dinner and Auction Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m. The event will be held in the SunRiver St. George Ballroom featuring local country artist Eric Dodge.

There will be a live auction, silent auction and opportunity drawings for wonderful items. The ticket price is $65 per person. The public is welcome to attend this event. Fundraising is the main source of revenue to help facilitate these programs. All proceeds from this event stay in Washington County and are used to benefit children in need.

Assistance League of Southern Utah is an all-volunteer organization whose mission is to help enrich the lives of children in the Washington County by providing new school clothes, shoes, hygiene kits and books. Children are referred to Operation School Bell by school counselors and teachers who interact with these children on a regular basis and can readily assess their needs.

By providing the basic needs for these children, they feel more confident in themselves and do better in school. This program shows children the community supports them and their education and that going to and staying in school will make a difference in their future. Since 2008, Operation School Bell has helped over 3,500 children to a brighter future.
