Wenston “Went” Wesley Bullard, age 79, lost a 10-year valiant battle with cancer Dec. 7, 2015, in Santa Clara, Utah. He was born Nov. 22, 1936, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Cecil Wesley and Patsy Henson Bullard. He married Marlene Stiles Nov. 23, 1961, in Leadville, Colorado. Their union was blessed with three children.
Went grew up and attended school in Cotopaxi, Colorado. He lived most of his life and raised his family in the Templeton and Paso Robles, California, area. Went was honest and had integrity in his business dealings. He was a very hard worker and his priority was his family.
Went enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and, most recently, his adventures on his Polaris Ranger side by side.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marlene of Santa Clara, Utah; children, Brian Bullard of Templeton, California, and Kristen (Joe) Nelson of Paso Robles, California; grandchildren, Jeremy and Shane Bullard and Tyler Nelson; sister-in-law, Kathi McGinn (Dick) of Santa Clara, Utah; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Troy Bullard; two brothers, Jimmie and Floyd; and a sister, Rachel.
Funeral services
- Memorial services will be held Thursday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. in the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, Utah.
- Friends may call prior to services, 1:30-2 p.m. at the mortuary.
