ST. GEORGE – A Hurricane City woman was arrested during a traffic stop on Old Highway 91 on the Arizona Strip late Monday morning for drug possession and resisting arrest, among other charges.
At around 11:30 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on North Highway 91 at milepost 9 in Littlefield, Arizona, and spoke with the driver, who was identified as 35-year-old Crystal Ann Nicholas, according to a media statement issued by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday.
A records check showed Nicholas to have a suspended driver’s license, the Sheriff’s Office said. After a brief struggle with deputies, Nicholas was taken into custody.
An inventory search of Nicholas’ vehicle revealed two syringes loaded with methamphetamine and a prescription bottle containing marijuana residue, the statement said. Deputies also located a pill inside Nicholas’ wallet identified as a prescription only drug.
Nicholas was transported and booked into the Mesquite Detention Center in Mesquite, Nevada.
She was charged with felony possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with three misdemeanor charges of possession of prescription only drugs, resisting arrest and driving with a suspended license.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

3 charges for prescription only drug for one pill….how does that work? Are they including marijuana as a prescription only drug? The prescription bottle? And one pill?
Just one pain killer. No harm no foul. And since the meth pipe had only residue drop that charge too? Cmon. Lots of jail time can cure the PTSD right out of her.
