3AA Playoff Preview: Inside the numbers in Dixie-Logan title game

SALT LAKE CITY — The happiest and saddest day has arrived for high school football fans. It’s Championship Friday, with the best of the best battling for the large gold trophy and right to be called state champion. It’s also the last day of the prep football season.

The Dixie Flyers (9-2) are going for their third state title in four years, and their second in a row, as they take the Rice-Eccles Stadium Field to battle Logan (10-2) at 11 a.m. today (KJZZ TV-14, ESPNRadio 97.7 FM).

Dixie has won four straight games and is coming off a 45-6 win over Tooele in the state semifinals.

Logan has won nine straight since starting the season 1-2 and is coming off a 42-14 win over Snow Canyon in the state semifinals.
