ST. GEORGE – A collision at the intersection of 400 West and 100 South in St. George Monday afternoon left two vehicles disabled and one person with minor injuries.
The crash occurred around 12:50 p.m. when a black Lexus was traveling north on 400 West and a white BMW was traveling west on 100 South, St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said.
The Lexus stopped at the intersection stop sign, but then pulled into the intersection and into the path of the BMW.
“The Lexus, for whatever reason, decided to pull out from the stop sign in front of the BMW, and the BMW hit the Lexus,” Despain said.
Both vehicles were occupied only by a driver. While the female driver of the BMW complained of having a sore foot, no other injuries were reported and no one was transported to the hospital for medical care.
The driver of the Lexus was issued a citation for failing to yield.
“Make sure the roadway is clear before you go, before you proceed,” Despain said.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene of the crash.
St. George Police Department and the St. George Fire Department responded to the accident, which caused minor traffic disruption.
